Life Without Borders, a brand-new organization on campus, will hold their informational meeting on Wednesday, September 3rd, 2014 at 8pm in Friends 309. Anyone interested in protecting and preserving the lives of all beings, irrespective of race, creed, color, sex, class, age, nation of origin, nationality, gender identity or expression, disability, marital status, religion, military status, sexual orientation, species, and other potential discriminatory factors, while striving to improve the quality of that life and the environment around it are highly encouraged and welcome to attend! Interested in being a part of a 24-Hour Theatre Festival on September 12-13th?

Over 24 hours, writers, actors, and directors of all kinds will come together to write, direct, and act in a plethora of different shows.

Writers will begin working at 8pm on Friday, September 12th, and will have 11 hours to write a one-act play. At 7am the next morning, directors will meet with writers to discuss the play and ask any questions they may have. Then, at 8am, directors will meet their cast, and together they will have twelve hours to block, memorize, and rehearse their show before the curtain rises at 8pm Saturday (September 13th) night.

If you think every child deserves to be healthy, you're not alone in the fight. Last Fall, more than 100 IC students and community members joined IC Food for Thought in the 7th annual 5K Walk for Plumpy’nut at Cass Park. Over $2,000 was raised to buy Plumpy’nut, a peanut-based therapeutic nutrition supplement, to aid malnourished children in Ethiopia. Click here to check out how awesome last year's event was!

Editor Dan Masciari, cinematographer Jackson Eagan and sound designer Lucas Knapp have received exciting news about their latest Park Productions video project; "Water in the Cloud Forest" was just announced to be a finalist in the Smithsonian Institute's Video in Motion contest, an international competition, open to professionals as well as students. The project was supported by a global study grant from the Dr. John Keshishoglou Center for Global Communications Innovation.
