 IC Free the Slaves invites you to 27 Million Bound: Unbinding Modern-Day Slavery, a one-day conference on human trafficking on Saturday, April 20. During the afternoon, we'll have interactive learning sessions and conversations with anti-slavery activists, including a survivor of human trafficking and founder of anti-slavery organization in Ghana. In the evening, our keynote lecturer Shamere McKenzie will share her story as an activist and survivor of sex slavery.

On Wednesday, April 17 at 8:00 pm there will be a student-run vigil held at the Textor Ball to show support for those in the Ithaca College community that were affected by Monday's tragedy. Two bombs were set off at the finish line for the Boston Marathon, killing three and injuring at least 140 more. This is a time for people to get together to show support for Bostonians and anyone affected by this tragedy. If you want to bring a candle, please do but they will not be supplied.
