Please come and join the Ithaca College Animal Rights club on April 7th in textor 102 at 6 o 'clock pm!  for  a lovely presentation by Kathy Stevens. Kathy is the founder of the catskill animal sanctuary and is going to talk about her work and experience at the sanctuary! We would love to have as many people as we can there to support our club and listen to what Kathy has to say!

International Club of Ithaca College and Feminists United are collaborating to bring IC an enriching opportunity to discuss global commodity chains and social justice. Guest speaker Dr. Bhavani Arabandi, assistant professor from the department of sociology, will give a talk on gender roles and globalization.

Come join us for the stories behind the products that are designed, manufactured, and marketed around the world through global commodity chains. There will be refreshments and comfortable seating.

Calling all volunteers for this year’s IC Kicks Back! We need a grand total of 30 volunteers to help with various jobs throughout the afternoon. Some jobs include:

-Maintaining lines for the inflatables and photo booths

-Checking IDs

-Taking photos of the event

A FREE IC Kicks Back T-shirt will be included!

The Oscar nominated and Golden Globe winning crime and comedic drama follows con artist Irving Rosenfeld and his partner Sydney Prosser into the world of the Jersey mafia. Rosenfeld and Prosser work with FBI agent Richie DiMasso to expose corrupt politicians in the area.

 LEAP is a non-profit education foundation that annually organizes a youth leadership program held at UCLA.  Each year, hundreds of students travel from across the globe to attend LEAP’s week-long program dedicated to helping young adults uncover the “real-life” skills needed to achieve great success.

Thursday, April 3rd at 7 pm in Emerson Suite C

Africa Week continues tonight with a panel discussion entitled "Brother Stand Up!" in Emerson Suite C at 7 pm. This event is a collaboration with B4B, and will be hosted by John Rawlins from OSEMA.

The panel will address issues surrounding the black male identity. We will talk about perceptions of black men, and how they impact their experiences as they navigate through predominantly white institutions. 

The four panelists are students Cedrick Michael Simmons and Dubian Ade, as well as Dr. Sean Eversley Bradwell from the Center for the Study of Culture Race and Ethnicity, and Dr. Matt Mogekwu from the Journalism Department.

Please join us as we engage in this important conversation.
