The National Center for Education Statistics collects and reports statistics and information about the condition and progress of education in the U.S.

U.S. Department of Education
The U.S. Department of Education's website provides links to sources of information about educational research and statistics, news and events, publications and products, etc.

New York State Education Department
The New York State Education Department collects and reports statistics and information about the condition and progress of education in the state of New York.

U.S. Census Bureau
The U.S. Census Bureau's website is a primary source for U.S. social, demographic, and economic data.

Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System
IPEDS is the National Center for Education Statistics' core postsecondary education data collection program.

Digest of Education Statistics, 2010 (NCES 2011015)
The 46th in a series of publications initiated in 1962, the Digest's primary purpose is to provide a compilation of statistical information covering the broad field of American education from prekindergarten through graduate school. The Digest contains data on a variety of topics, including the number of schools and colleges, teachers, enrollments, and graduates, in addition to educational attainment, finances, and federal funds for education, libraries, and international comparisons.
