Change in class calendar
to be discussed at forum
Students can talk with faculty and staff about proposed
calendar changes surrounding Martin Luther King Day at a forum at
6 p.m. Wednesday in Williams Hall Room 225.
The Calendar Committee has proposed three possible calendars for
the next five academic years. All include Martin Luther King Day as
a holiday from classes. The forum is being held to educate
students on these proposals and to give them a chance to voice
their opinions.
Nivedita Mukherjee, vice president of academics for SGA, said SGA
hopes to have a full discussion that includes the alternatives to,
consequences of and reasoning for the proposals.
“It is vital for students, faculty and staff to play an active role in
voicing their opinions on these matters before the administration
makes an informed decision,” she said.
