Volleyball team defeats Geneseo for a second time
The volleyball team notched its eighth win of the season Tuesday
night with a victory over SUNY-Geneseo, marking its second victory
over the Knights this season.
Stellar performances from the unit of proven juniors, Amanda
Hubbard, Jenna Yehl and Katie Hause, along with another strong
showing from standout freshman Corinna Doctor, carried the South
Hill squad to a 3–2 win.
Doctor recorded a career-best 62 assists, along with an
impressive 26 digs. Hubbard, continuing her excellent play,
recorded yet another double-double, notching 23 kills and 32 digs,
while classmate Hause had a double-double of her own with 25
kills and a career-best 28 digs.
With the New York University Invitational approaching Friday,
the Bombers are looking to extend their hot streak against
formidable opponents. They will face Johns Hopkins University,
Elmira College, the Coast Guard and New York University.
The next match for the volleyball team will take place at 4
p.m. Friday at the NYU Invitational against Johns Hopkins
University.
