Women's cross country B squad finishes sixth
The women’s cross country B team traveled to Roberts Wesleyan
University to participate in the Harry F. Anderson invitational
Saturday. The B team placed sixth out of eight teams with a total
time of 1:47:19.
The top finisher for the Bombers were sophomore Laura
Alloco (20:53.8), who finished 20th overall and first for Ithaca.
Another top finisher for the Blue and Gold was sophomore Jill
Cadby (21:19.7), placing 26th overall
Roberts Wesleyan finished first on the day with a team total
of 1:41:24. Houghton College edged the South Hill squad with a
total time of 1:45:34, almost two minutes better than Ithaca. The
Bombers finished nearly five minutes better Daeman College with a
total time of (1:52:12)
The Bombers earned 134 points, placing them far in front of
Daeman, which finished with 184. Houghton earned 117 points
putting them ahead of the Blue and Gold.
The B team is the next for race to the Bombers with a meet
at Cornell next Friday to end the season. After the meet at Cornell,
the postseason begins with the Empire 8 championship in Saratoga
Springs.
The next meet for the women’s cross country team will take
place at 4 p.m. Friday at the John Reif Memorial Classic at Cornell
University.
