ePortfolios

An ePortfolio is a collection of work, proof of skills, and reflections on lessons learned. ePortfolios are similar to résumés because they represent achievements and experiences but provide a richer view of individual progress, learning, and achievement. ePortfolios are available to IC students and faculty only. Faculty have access to "demo" ePortfolio accounts for creating model ePortfolios.

The student ePortfolio system uses IC's Web Profile Manager (WPM).

Access and Creation

The Netpass username and password are used to log into Web Profile Manager to create an ePortfolio. Students and faculty can log into Web Profile Manager and create an ePortfolio account as soon as their e-mail account is activated. Students will have an ePortfolio profile and a profile for experimenting with features. Faculty members will have a faculty profile, an experimentation profile, and a demo ePortfolio profile.

Access After Graduation

Graduating students may elect to have their student ePortfolio converted to an alumni ePortfolio and retain access to it indefinitely, on an annual, opt-in basis. Opt-in instructions are sent with the e-mail account expiration notice, shortly after graduation.
