Instructional Video
Client: Marilyn Kane

Marilyn Kane, Assistant Professor in the Occupational Therapy Department, uses video production skills as a way to give her students hands on experience with their subject matter. Marilyn had her students break into groups to plan, shoot and edit short videos relating to various Occupational Therapy training topics. Her students produced five videos entitled, Back Injury Prevention, Extreme Makeover: Office Edition, IC Musicians, Avoiding Pain and Stress on the Job, Exercises to Reduce Stress, Dancing Long, Dancing Strong, and Adaptive Equipment.

Professor Kane is not alone in wanting her students to integrate video into the class. In order to assist Marilyn and other Ithaca College faculty, ITS developed a guide to help plan, shoot, edit and deliver instructional video.
