ITS provides training, documentation and consulting support to the campus community. This site provides information about these services.

Technology Learning Center

Instructor-led training, online tutorials, technical documentation, and drop-in consulting services are delivered through the Technology Learning Center (TLC), located in room 101 Friends Hall. The TLC Trainer team collaborates to provide the Ithaca College user community with a comprehensive set of training and documentation services to support the most popular application areas, such as:

  • Blackboard (course management system)
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Adobe Products (Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
  • Oracle Calendar (calendar management)
  • Web Profile Manager (ePortfolios, Faculty WPM sites, Department WPM sites)
  • FileMaker Pro (database design)

Please let us know if you would like us to offer training for your group or class. We can offer training by request on any of our standard topics or on a new custom topic.

Drop-in Consulting Services

TLC Trainers are available in the CET (104 Muller Center) from 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday to provide faculty, staff, and students with drop-in consulting assistance on supported computer applications, such as Blackboard, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), ePortfolios, Web Profile Manager, Oracle Calendar, Adobe Products (Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, Photoshop), FileMaker Pro, scanning, and other technology topics.

Software Application Support

Documentation, suport levels and other information about commonly used campus software is available in this section. Software that is available on every faculty and staff workstation is  part of the IC Software Bundle. The software has been categorized by type or usage.
