Calendar

Please note: If you use Oracle Calendar, please do not use the Calendar feature in the Outlook Web App. Please continue to use Oracle Calendar until ITS migrates to the new Calendar system (Microsoft Live@edu) at the end of December 2012. If you do not use Oracle Calendar, feel free to use the Calendar feature in your Microsoft Live@edu account.

Live@edu offers a hosted Microsoft Exchange environment that provides a tightly integrated calendar and email system. This calendar solution will replace the Oracle Calendar system currently used by faculty and staff and will provide a calendar option for students and student organizations.  

Calendars will be accessed by using:

  • the Outlook Web App, which is accessed through myHome
  • the Outlook client, which comes with Microsoft Office 2010 for Windows and 2011 for Macs

Microsoft Outlook

The Microsoft Outlook email and calendar client is part of the Microsoft Office Suite, which is available on all college-owned computers. Windows users with Office 2010 have the Outlook email client. Mac users will need to upgrade to Office 2011 in order to get access to the Outlook client. Older versions of the Office suite for Mac users did not include the Outlook client.
