There are two jobs currently available, the Circulation Services Coordinator and the Health Sciences Librarian:
Circulation Services Coordinator
Full-time position available to oversee and coordinate the Circulation activities of the Access Services Unit. Direct and monitor the routine work of all student assistants and temporary staff/volunteers assigned to Circulation, Reserves and Electronic Reserves. Coordinate the processing of circulation transactions, overdue notices, fines and billings; ensure the confidentiality of these transactions. Coordinate the opening/closing of the Library. The hours for the position are Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm; hours may vary by academic calendar.
Qualifications: Associate's degree and a minimum of 3 years previous Library experience in Public Services, which includes circulation, reserves, or interlibrary loan, or the equivalent combination of education and experience; strong attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Good working knowledge of various spreadsheet, database, and word processing applications. Ability to prioritize projects, handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines while working independently and as a member of a team; ability to interact with various constituencies at the College and affiliate patrons, while supporting Library policies. Bachelor's Degree and supervisory experience preferred.

Health Sciences Librarian
The Ithaca College Library is looking for a Health Sciences Librarian.
The successful candidate will be committed to the proactive development of user-centered collections and information literacy initiatives for the students and faculty in the College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, which offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in exercise & sport sciences, health education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, physical education, and therapeutic recreation. The Health Sciences Librarian will participate in the collaborative development of library resources and services and provide general research assistance service as assigned. As a member of the Research Services Team, the position reports to the College Librarian.
Qualifications
Required: MLS from an ALA-accredited school and demonstrated knowledge of information processes and resources. Ability to deliver user-centered information services; strong public service orientation; excellent oral and written communication skills; demonstrated evidence of the ability to work with diverse students, faculty, and colleagues; experience in preparation, delivery, and evaluation of effective library instruction; ability to deal positively, collegially, and proactively within a changing environment; and the ability to support student and faculty research in the science disciplines; experience with identifying user needs; and the ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
Preferred: Experience in reference and information literacy initiatives in an academic library and undergraduate or graduate coursework in the Health Sciences.
