Interlibrary Loan Borrowing Coordinator

Position Responsibilities: Responsible for interlibrary loan borrowing/document delivery operations to include assisting students, faculty, and staff with requests for items not held in the Ithaca College Library, searching appropriate library on-line collections/library holdings to locate requested materials, securing materials for patrons in an efficient and timely manner, keeping accurate transaction records, processing and reconciling billing . In the absence of the Lending Coordinator, assists with interlibrary loan lending duties associated with processing requests from other libraries; assists with circulation/reserves functions as assigned. This position supervises up to three student assistants who work for interlibrary loan.

Qualifications: Associate's Degree and a minimum of two years of academic library experience in circulation, interlibrary loan, or electronic document delivery, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Good attention to detail, strong organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Prior experience supervising staff or student assistants preferred. Good working knowledge of personal computers and the ability to use spreadsheet software and scanning hardware/software is required; familiarity with OCLC Worldcat preferred.
