Aging Studies major Kasey Stevenson '10 has written an article that has been accepted for publication in the Tompkins County Mental Health Alliance newsletter, States of Mind. The article is about the process and outcomes of her art therapy work with older adults. She has also been selected to present her research project at the 23rd National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), being held April 16–18 at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. The conference serves as a showcase for more than 2,000 students and their faculty mentors in all fields of study to present their original research through posters, oral presentations, visual arts and performances.

Portions of her work with participants in The Center For Life Skills, a program tailored to meet the individual needs of elderly participants who have experienced either a stroke or some other type of brain injury, is currently on display at the Gerontology Institute.

The Linden Center for Creativity and Aging has supported Kasey's research throughout her academic career at Ithaca College. Last year she worked with a group of residents at Longview using research methods incorporating art and music therapy.
