What participants said about the Media Literacy Institute in the past:
"As I told the administrators, there has not been another workshop in my 30 years of teaching that has influenced me as much as the summer week I spent at Look Sharp." Mary Moyer, Elementary Librarian
"A five-star workshop!
Thanks for going “above & beyond”—The hike and tour of Ithaca was fabulous!"
Francine Reynolds, Junior High Reading and Language Teacher
"The chance to meet with both instructors, and Faith Rogow, was unbelievably rewarding & really helped to challenge me in this work." Denyse Variano, Resource Educator
"One aspect of a great workshop is not only the content, but the way it is taught. Great teaching methodology was modeled."
Mike Levy, Middle School Journalism, High School Writing Teacher
"Really jam-packed & excellent presentations."
Nicki Yokota, K-12 Tech Support
"Meeting with such a diverse group of goal-oriented people is …a life-changing experience."
Michaila Lee, Pre-K Spanish
"[The individual coaching was] invaluable. This piece makes the cost absolutely reasonable, a bargain in fact. The coaching sessions were completely dedicated, no lip service, but real, honest intellectual expertise. PLS is one of the best professional moves I have ever made. My supervisor was impressed with how much I was impressed, and asked me to inquire about in-service training or possible site visits." Ted Leaf, High School English Teacher
"This course was the 'missing piece' to my Masters in Library and Information Science Education! Top shelf!"
Rick Gridley, BOCES Library Media Specialist
