ICView is the college magazine of Ithaca College, distributed free of charge and free of outside advertising to more than 63,000 alumni, faculty, staff, administrators, retirees, parents of currently enrolled students, donors, neighbors, and friends of Ithaca College, as well as to administrators of peer institutions. It also has an online version, which frequently includes stories and multimedia offerings not available in the print version. IC(Point of)View, published in the fall, features the winners of an annual arts and literary contest open to alumni, employees, retirees, and students. 

The mission of ICView is to offer a candid, accurate, thoughtful, and lively view of College events and people and to stimulate discussion of issues of interest to the College community and the broader readership. 

Generally about a third of the print version is devoted to alumni notes and news.* Readers of the 48-page, full-color print magazine reside in all 50 states; mindful of financial and resource sustainability, we've recently stopped distributing to international readers unless they "opt in."

The ICView print and online versions are produced by a staff editor, an art director, and an editorial assistant with the contributions of freelance writers, photographers, and illustrators. Current editor Maura Stephens has been at the helm since 1997; art director Carol Goodling, who has been at the College since 1992, joined the magazine in 2003 and orchestrated one major redesign in 2004 and a smaller one, when the name changed from ICQ to ICView, in 2007. Editorial assistant Maureen Forrest has been with Ithaca College since 1992 and joined the magazine staff in 2007. Each semester we have several student workers, and Maura hosts two to six writing interns each semester as well.
