If you would like a laminated Ithaca College Talking Points card or have any questions about the Talking Points, please contact Tom Torello at (607) 274-1959 or ttorello@ithaca.edu.
The Admission Communications Task Force, charged by our president, compiled a set of talking points for Ithaca College. Members from across our campus community collaborated to develop these messages, informed by significant research, including student focus groups, surveys, and national studies in higher education.
The talking points are part of a greater effort to create a stronger, more consistent image of the College. They are a tool to use when communicating about Ithaca with all of our many important audiences, whether through websites, printed materials, or even conversation. The talking points are not meant to be a script read word-for-word. Instead, we encourage you to view the talking points as a structure for telling your own stories about the Ithaca College experience.
Of course we realize that there is a great deal more to what makes Ithaca special than we could fit in a short list. We offer this information as a way to help focus your communications on a few key points that help convey Ithaca’s strengths. We hope you find it helpful.
Ithaca’s right size and blend of liberal arts and professional programs provide the opportunities of large universities in a supportive and personal private-college environment.
