The Heckscher Composition Prize

The Ithaca College School of Music
is pleased to announce the 2008

Heckscher Composition Prize Winner

Clint Needham of Bloomington, Indiana

for his piece "Axioms"

The 2009 Heckscher Composition Prize

The instrumentation for the 2009 competition will be listed by January

$3,000 will be awarded for the best work
10-20 minutes in duration

It is expected that the composer will attend the award performance in spring 2010.

Deadline: July 1, 2009

The winning work will be announced September 1, 2009 and parts must be provided by September 15.

Send anonymous score and recording (MIDI acceptable), along with contact information in a sealed envelope, to:
