COURSE DESCRIPTION

A wind and percussion ensemble open to all non-music majors (freshman--senior) who play a wind or percussion instrument. There is no audition requirement.The ensemble meets once a week for a two-hour rehearsal. 0-1 credit.

GOALS

To play quality band literature, selected from Sousa, Grainger, Margolis, Daehn, Arnold, Ticheli, Mahr, Boysen, Nelson, Leroy Anderson, Vaughan Williams, and Holst, among others.
To perform effectively with fellow students.
To enjoy making music with your peers.
To continue to grow as a performing musician.

INFORMATIONAL MEETING

There will be an informational meeting (no instruments required) on Wednesday, 24 August 2005 at 6:00 pm. in the School of Music.
Students interested in joining Campus Band should come to this meeting, along with those who have already preregistered.
