COURSE
DESCRIPTION
A wind
and percussion ensemble open to all non-music majors (freshman--senior)
who play a wind or percussion instrument. There is no
audition requirement.The ensemble meets once a week for a two-hour
rehearsal. 0-1 credit.
GOALS
- To play
quality band literature, selected from Sousa, Grainger, Margolis, Daehn, Arnold,
Ticheli, Mahr, Boysen, Nelson, Leroy Anderson, Vaughan Williams, and Holst, among
others.
- To
perform effectively with fellow students.
- To
enjoy making music with your peers.
- To
continue to grow as a performing musician.
