The above rate for room is based on double occupancy; rates vary with type of facilities. The College has limited single, suite, and apartment accommodations at higher rates. Triple rooms are also available at a lower rate.

These charges are for the 2004–2005 academic year and are subject to change in subsequent years.

Additional costs include books, transportation, and personal expenses.

Approximately 80 percent of incoming students receive some form of financial assistance. Applicants seeking aid must submit the FAFSA (free application for federal student aid), available from high school guidance offices, directly to the appropriate processor for the U.S. Department of Education listed on the back of the form. Form should be submitted by February 1 to ensure arrival by March 1.

The College recognizes outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated talent and considers all applications for merit aid based on these criteria. Premier Talent Scholarships, in amounts up to $13,000, may be awarded to students who demonstrate exceptional performing ability in the audition. The Premier Talent Scholarships are not awarded until after all students have auditioned and applied (approximately mid-April). The College offers President's and Dean's Scholarships ranging from $3,000 to $13,000 per year over four years. A separate application is not required to be considered for these scholarships. Ithaca College is a sponsor in the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) program, which provides scholarships of up to $2,000 to students who list Ithaca College as their first-choice institution to NMSC in accordance with NMSC guidelines. In addition, Ithaca College provides these students with a $13,000 Ithaca College President's Scholarship. These awards are renewable on an annual basis for up to eight semesters.

In awarding aid, Ithaca considers academic performance or promise along with special talents. Consequently, once admissibility and need are established, competitive criteria do come into play.
