Craig Cummings, Interim Dean

The Dean of the School of Music has overall responsibility for all School of Music programs and activities. Students should see the Dean about issues that deal with the broad concerns of the school or cut across departmental lines, or have not been satisfactorily resolved by a faculty advisor, departmental chair, or the associate dean. Dean Woodward is interested in student ideas and welcomes students to come in and let him know their views. In addition, open meetings are occasionally held to discuss issues of interest to students.  Each Fall, one undergraduate representative from each repertoire class and one representative from the graduate students are elected to serve on the Dean’s Advisory Council. This council meets with the Dean and Associate Dean on a monthly basis to discuss activities and problems important to students.
