Information for Current Students

Auditions for Opera Workshop take place during the first class period. Opera workshop is open to juniors, seniors and graduate students only. Students should prepare one operatic aria and bring a resume. Students must be available for the entire duration of the class period, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:05-4:55pm.

Auditions for the main-stage opera are held the third week of the fall semester. Students must submit an audition form with a headshot and resume (if available) on the IC Opera Auditions Sakai site. The address is https://sakai.ithaca.edu/portal/site/a6e9bea8-218f-4e94-a49b-0e1f3e1d5d04/page/68e6cd39-b0bf-40c3-8d2d-d55033af4559.  It can also be found by searching the Sakai site for “IC Opera Auditions”.  If you have any problems accessing the site please contact Kerri Lynch klynch@ithaca.edu.

Auditions for all Department of Theatre Arts musical productions are held via main-stage auditions, the Sunday before classes start, both semesters. Typical audition requirements are 16 bar cuts of up-tempo and/or ballade musical theatre selections, plus a 60 second monologue. Students should e-mail Kerri Lynch (klynch@ithaca.edu) with your Ithaca College e-mail. The subject of the e-mail should be "Auditions." In the body of the e-mail you should include your name and specify that you are interested in auditioning for the main-stage musical.
