Driving Directions to Ithaca College
-From Albany and New England
Follow the New York State Thruway (I-90) west to I-88 (exit 25A).
Take I-88 west to Bainbridge (exit 8) and then Route 206 to Whitney
Point. Pick up Route 79 west to Ithaca. At T-intersection turn
left onto Route 96B (Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for approximately
one mile. The campus will be on your left.
-From Rochester and Buffalo
Follow the New York State Thruway (I-90) east to Waterloo (exit
41) and take Route 414 south to Route 318 east to Route 89 south
to Ithaca. In Ithaca, turn right onto Route 13 south. After passing
Green St., move into the far left lane, following signs to Ithaca
College via Route 96B (Clinton St.). Turn right onto Aurora St.
(still 96B) and continue for approximately one mile. The campus
will be on your left.
-From Erie, Pennsylvania, and Points West
Follow Route 17 east to exit 54 and take Route 13 north into Ithaca.
Turn right on Route 96B (Clinton St.) and continue to Aurora St.
Turn right onto Aurora St. (still 96B) and continue for approximately
one mile. The campus will be on your left.
-From Syracuse and Points North
Follow I-81 south to Cortland (exit 12). Take Route 281 south
to Route 13 south to Ithaca. Follow signs to Ithaca College via
Route 96B (Clinton St.). Turn right onto Aurora St. (still 96B)
and continue for approximately one mile. The campus will be on
your left.
-From Pennsylvania and Points South
Take I-81 north through Binghamton to Whitney Point (exit 8).
**(See below for alternate route from Binghamton.) Take Route
79 west to Ithaca. At T-intersection turn left onto Route 96B
(Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for approximately one mile.
The campus will be on your left.
-From the New York City Area
Follow Route 17 west (or I-81 north) to Binghamton and take I-81
north to exit 8 at Whitney Point. **(See below for alternate route
from Binghamton.) Follow Route 79 west into Ithaca. At T-intersection
turn left onto Route 96B (Aurora St.) and follow 96B south for
approximately one mile. The campus will be on your left.
**An alternate route from Binghamton (of about the same distance) is through Owego: Take Route 17 west through Binghamton to Route 96/96B in Owego. Follow 96/96B for about 25 miles. The campus will be on your right. Downtown Ithaca is approximately 1 mile farther on 96B.
Airline and Bus Service
Ithaca is served by Greyhound, Short Line and other bus lines, as well as by USAirways at the Tompkins County Airport. Limousine service is available from the airport, and taxis and city buses serve the campus from the bus terminal. Hancock International Airport in Syracuse, 60 miles north of Ithaca, is served by most major airlines. Binghamton Regional Airport, approximately 40 miles southeast of Ithaca, is served by USAirways, United Express, Northwest Airlink, and Continental Express.
