A pleasant, twenty minute walk through Gramercy, Union Square,
and the northern streets of the Village. Also reachable by subway
(#6 line from 23rd St. To Astor Place) or short cab ride (c.
$5). Formerly elegant, now "historic" in feel. Singles
at $165-170, Doubles at $180. Breakfast not included in price;
full-service restaurant on ground floor. Parking in garage nearby
for $25/night.
Frequent stop for students and foreign travellers. Access
to NYU via #6 subway from Lexington and 51st St (to Astor Place).
"Running water rooms" without bath start at $70; single
rooms with bath from $100. No breakfast included, but food is
available nearby. Parking in garage a block away for $25/night.
This one lets you approach NYU from the south. Located at Chambers Street, 5 blocks north of the World Trade Center. Subway access to NYU via the #1 or 9 to Sheridan Square, or the A, C, & E to West 4th Street.. Rooms start at $99; room with 1 double bed for $125. Garage parking in the vicinity.
