From Southern New England and Downstate New York. Take NYS Thruway (87) to Exit 16 (Harriman) to Route 17 West. Continue on Route 17 West to Exit 70 South (201). Follow 201 and the SUNY signs to the traffic circle. Take the first right off the circle, crossing bridge to Route 434 East. The main entrance to the the campus is your first right. The conference takes place in the Fine Arts Building, located next to the Couper Administration Building. This is the first complex you see as you arrive on campus. Coming in from the Vestal Parkway (Rte. 434 East), go past the information booth and enter the small traffic circle. Follow signs for EAST, and exit the circloe. Driving up a small incline, you will see a parking garage, and beyond it the Couper Administration Building. Continue around to the front of the Couper Building, and beyond it the Couper Administration Buiolding. Continue around to the front of the Couper Building, turn right and the Fine Arts Building is directly ahead. Signs will direct you to registration.
You have four choices for parking: (1) Directly in front of the Fine Arts Building there are several spots with meters. These are not enforced from Friday 5 pm to Sunday midnight, and you do not need special permits to park there on the weekend. (2) The parking garage you passed on the way in. Rates are 75 cents for the first and second hour, 50 cents for every hour thereafter, with a maximum of $3.00. (3) A small free lot next to the parking garage, Lot "d." Permits are not required on the weekend. (4) A large free lot next to the East Gym, Lot "E." Drive back towards the traffic circle, and the lot is on your right. Permits are not required on the weekend. It is a five-minute walk to the Fine Arts Building.
