Underwater Tiger, a Horseheads-based alternative rock band comprised of two sets of brothers, including current Ithaca College Sound Recording Technology student Nate Miner, was recently featured in the Elmira Star Gazette following the release of the band's album. They will officially release the album "Where Miles Become Meaning" during a CD release party March 24 at Brady's Pub in Elmira.
Joining them as a special guest will be Ithaca College School of Music professor Frank Gabriel Campos on trumpet.
Gregory Mantone was a beloved member of the Ithaca College School of Music. At the time of his death, Gregory was a Junior Music Education major; as a euphonium player and vocalist, he was an active member of many of our music ensembles. Most importantly, Gregory was a friend and cheerful companion to many.
The Ithaca College Junior Music Education majors and the members of the Ithaca College Euphonium and Tuba studio have expressed a sincere and deep desire to create a permanent memorial to Gregory within the Ithaca College School of Music.
Susan Milan, former Principal Flute of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, will be on campus and offering a flute masterclass and recital on March 21 & 22.
