Music Director Arild Remmereit conducts the RPO in this special performance at Ithaca College. The program features two works by Richard Strauss—the dramatic tone poem Don Juan, and excerpts from the opera Der Rosenkavalier. Plus, the RPO performs Karen Tanaka’s delicate Rose Absolute and the sizzling Sinfonia No. 4 by Cornell Professor Roberto Sierra.
Friends, classmates and faculty are invited to celebrate the life and memory of Gregory Mantone on January 31st with the Ithaca College School of Music. Greg's family will be in attendance, and we cannot imagine a stronger way to show our support than to fill Ford Hall in his memory. We want them to know Greg is cherished at Ithaca College and within the School of Music.
Members of the Tuba/Euphonium Studio, Symphonic Band, Musical Theatre, and Chorus will pay homage to the memory of Greg while performing many of his favorite tunes, many of which are from popular Broadway shows.
