Solo Competition

Repertoire
- Contestants must select one work from each of the periods below:
- A baroque or classical work (a movement of a sonata is acceptable)
- A romantic or 20th-century work

All works must be performed from memory
- Concertos may not be used in the solo competition
Division I: students in grades 10-12 (as of September 2013)
- Performance time will be limited to 15 minutes
- First- and second-place winners will receive awards
- The first-place winner will receive a $16,000 Ithaca College Premier Talent Scholarship to be used towards tuition for each of four years as a piano major at Ithaca College, beginning in Fall 2014. This award cannot be deferred and is subject to general admission to the college and the School of Music
If the winner chooses to decline the scholarship award or is not able to accept the scholarship for the specified year, s/he will instead receive a $750 cash award - The second-place winner will receive a $250 cash award

- The second-place winner will receive a $200 cash award
