On April 15, 2008, the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra and Ithaca College Choral Union performed in Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. The orchestra kicked off the evening with a stirring performance of Johannes Brahms' "Tragic" Overture, conducted by Jeffery Meyer. The Brahms piece was followed by the featured piece: Giuseppe Verdi's magnificent "Requiem," performed by the orchestra and choral union, and conducted by Lawrence Doebler with chorus master Janet Galvan.
