Spring break was anything but ordinary for the Ithaca College wind ensemble. One of IC’s many touring musical groups, the wind ensemble had the opportunity to go to Ireland this past March to perform in the Emerald Isle with some of that country’s premier wind bands.

The Ithaca College Choir will present a free concert on Saturday, March 24 at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall. The concert is the culmination of an east coast tour that took the choir as far south as Atlanta during spring break.

As a send-off to a March performance tour of Ireland, the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, conducted by Stephen Peterson, will present a free concert on Wednesday, March 7. This preview of the wind ensemble's Irish program will begin at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Entitled "An American Tapestry," the performance will feature Coplandís "Outdoor Overture," Bennettís "Suite of Old American Dances," and works by Ticheli, Grantham, Lauridsen and Sousa.
