Finally, finally, finally.

It's been two long months in the making, but the myHome team is proud to announce the release of the next update to myHome at Ithaca: version 1.1.

Modifications and upgrades have been made across the board, and while it's only a dot release, some pretty major stuff has happened.  We've added some new portlets--like the President's Blog and Digg--as well as tweaked some of your favorites with new functionality--like the dropdown directory results in IC search and some fancy new hover details in Oracle Calendar and Today.  But even more important are the things that happened behind-the-scenes.  We've completely reworked the way portlets and tabs are delivered to you in order to make way for the arrival of community content.  If you take a look at the "Add Content" panel, you'll notice a new filter that allows you to sort through "Official" myHome content and "Community" content.  Check that area often, because within the next couple of months it will begin to fill with some great tabs and portlets.

Play around and explore the great new features.  If you're looking for a full list of what's new, check out the release notes in the "Help" section.  And keep that feedback and those bug reports rolling in.  We love hearing from you and are anxious to know what you're thinking.

Oh, and one more thing.  You may have noticed that the "My Slideshow" portlet we touted in Intercom is nowhere to be found.  After some quick reviews before launch we decided that it wasn't quite up to snuff.  We're going to tinker with it a bit and make it available to you as soon as we can.  Nothing but the best for Ithaca College.
