We maintain five miles of trails on South Hill that are open to the public year round.
The Blue and Gold Trails are wide, flat paths atop South Hill. They offer an easy walk through the woods close to campus.
The Self-Guided Nature Trail, also an easy walk, is marked by 26 posts interpreting local natural history, ecology, and land use.
The East Trail extends biking and hiking access toward the southern boundary of South Hill Natural Area East. A return via the Blue and Gold Trails completes a 2.6-mile loop around the reserve.
The West Trail offers 2.0 miles of hilly, narrow, semi-technical singletrack with steep climbs and stream crossings.
If you visit, please observe our rules of use.
