Wetlands Creation Project

Student Research

As part of the agreement with Ithaca College, a research group of students are assembled every semester to do projects with the wetlands. Projects have ranged from ecological and biological studies, to more social based experiments that promote the wetlands as an area of study for other classes. The course that does the research every sememster is a senior level research class in the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences. Originally moderated by Jason Hamilton in the spring semester, the course was taken over by Anne Stork in the fall semester of 2010.

The research group in the fall semester of 2010 began a web page that is the home to a collection of all studies done by the senior research class from that semester forward. This webpage contains a list of research topics by name and leads into a description of the project, data collected, steps taken, and resources used. The page is intended for use by other students as well as any interested persons in a specific topic. The page is public and can be found at https://sites.google.com/site/ithacawetlands/.
