I have had many questions coming in lately about the word length of abstracts. So...what are we looking for exactly? Well, on the website it says "Abstracts are usually 250 to 300 words in length and should be no more than 450 words." This includes just the text of the abstract itself. If you need to go a little bit over, then I would not stress about it, but please try to stay within limit as best as you can. There is plethora of useful information on the website, so be sure to search through and see what you can find. Of course, if you have a question that is not answered on the web, feel free to shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Also, I'm sending out a friendly reminder to start thinking in advance about what you need to do to plan for NCUR. My suggestion is to start looking at hotels!
Lastly, please encourage your peers to submit abstracts. NCUR is not only a great way to share undergraduate search, but an opportunity to explore a new place! Come to Ithaca and experience it for yourself!
Happy Halloween to all. Be safe and have fun!
