Music Performances

Music performances may be up to 15 minutes with five additional minutes allotted for questions. Performances can be in one of the following categories:

1. Original composition
2. Composition in the style of a specific musical period, style, or composer
3. Arranged musical work
4. Performance

For categories 1, 2, and 3, students must submit a full score (or a significant portion of a score if work is in progress) plus a link to a URL, or e-mail to ncur2011@ithaca.edu, an MP3, AIFF, or WAV file containing the performance.

For category 4, students must submit a link to a URL, or e-mail to ncur2011@ithaca.edu, an MP3, AIFF, or WAV file containing the proposed performance.

Playback resources available during presentation are audio CD and DVD.

Students can also propose a lecture recital or research and/or analysis abstract. In this case, students should follow the standard abstract submission guidelines for oral sessions.
