Loyalty programs and their profitability for corporations were the subject of a recent interview by Business News Daily. McCall asserts that loyalty programs rarely pay off the way that corporations want them to. “The most successful programs figure out what the customer values that doesn’t cost the company a lot,” McCall said. “The idea is to use these programs to develop relationships and foster engagement. You can probably do that by making an effort to remember your customers’ names and what they purchase.”
