Tina Caswell, clinical instructor, Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
Caswell was interviewed by Horses in the Morning, a live morning radio show with an equine theme, about how she is addressing verbal communication issues in autistic children by combining equine therapy and assistive technology through an exclusive program called Strides©. “When you put a child on a horse, that horse seems to take all the extra energy into their body and then I get a kid who is suddenly focused, attentive and able to communicate more effectively.” You can listen to the show here.
