Omni Hotels, a company that has faced many setbacks over the past few years, is hoping to make a new name for itself with the construction of a new LEED certified facility in Nashville. The Nashville City Paper was skeptical over whether the project would succeed. “If you have a convention center in a nice area, the probability of success for the anchor hotel rises considerably,” said McCall, and expert on the hospitality industry. He said the brand would nonetheless face competition from downtown Nashville’s numerous well-established hotels. “The key to success is how they differentiate themselves,” he said.
