In an article discussing research on the relationship between wasps and the fruit fly species in which they inject their eggs, Witherup commented on the complexity of understanding the evolution of both parasites and their prey. “It appears there’s another way to internally escape their predators, and that’s adding a whole other dimension to the diversification of this species.”
