Sweet’s recent publication, “Talent Pressures and the Aging Workforce: Responsive Action Steps for the Manufacturing Sector,” drew the attention of the Boston Globe. His research indicates that increasing numbers of retirements in the manufacturing industries are going to saddle those industries with increased training costs for new employees. “In many ways, the aging of the workforce will be like a tide, drawing the talents of older workers out of the labor force,” said Stephen Sweet.
