Jeff Cohen, associate professor of journalism
Cohen visited Ecuador’s embassy while traveling in London recently, where he found the building under siege by the British government in response to Ecuador’s decision to harbor WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. An article Cohen wrote about his impression of the scene was picked up by several media outlets, including the Huffington Post. “Standing outside this embassy surrounded by British police, it looked to me like a classic case of powerful Western states uniting to intimidate a less powerful country on behalf of their prerogatives toward domination and war. It had nothing to do with "the rule of law."
