The Toronto Star wanted to know how sports fans can say “we won” when their team wins but “they lost” when their team loses.  Annemarie Farrell says that the power of sport to create civic identity is extremely powerful.  "Some of the longest relationships we have in our lives aren't with people, but with teams,” says Farrell. “We all want to be part of something bigger."
