Ithaca College's Handwerker Gallery to Host Annual Senior Student Art Show

ITHACA, NY — The “2011 Senior Student Art Show” will open at Ithaca College’s Handwerker Gallery on Thursday, April 14. Curated by Tina Orlandini, art history ’11, the exhibition will feature the work of 35 students from the Department of Art and the Department of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts. Running through May 22, the show will highlight the diversity of contemporary art practices at Ithaca College.

An opening reception will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 14; an illustrated catalogue for the exhibition will be available. On Wednesday, April 27, Orlandini will give a curator’s talk at 6 p.m. in the Clark Lounge, Phillips Hall.

All Handwerker Gallery events are free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Thursday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and weekends noon to 5 p.m. The gallery is closed to the public on Tuesday, but can accommodate group or class visits by appointment.
