Ithaca College Theatre performance of “Electra,” the Greek tragedy by Euripides about a family pulled apart by escalating violence and ruled by the doctrine of an eye for an eye; 8 p.m., Clark Theatre, Dillingham Center (admission charged).

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 29
MUSIC

Recital by the Ithaca Jazz Quartet; 8:15 p.m., Ford Hall, Whalen Center.

SCREENING
Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series showing of “Laramie Inside Out,” a documentary about the aftermath of the 1998 murder of gay college student Matthew Shepard; 7 p.m., Textor 103.
