Ithaca College to Host Reading by Distinguished Visiting Writer Andy Fitch
ITHACA, NY — The Distinguished Visiting Writers Series at Ithaca College will host a reading by Andy Fitch. Free and open to the public, his presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, March 7, at 7:30 p.m. in Clark Lounge, Egbert Hall.
Fitch is the author of “Sixty Morning Walks,” a collection of poems created from his hour-long walks through Manhattan for 60 straight mornings, each described in 60-sentence entries. He collaborated with Jon Cotner on “Ten Walks/Two Talks,” which uses the same idea but also includes a series of roving dialogues as the pair stroll about the city. They have also collaborated on the manuscript “Conversations over Stolen Food” and have performed their dialogic improvisations across the country and internationally. Fitch teaches in the creative writing program at the University of Wyoming.
The Distinguished Visiting Writers Series is sponsored by the Department of Writing in the School of Humanities and Sciences. For more information contact Catherine Taylor, assistant professor of writing, at 607-274-7031 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
