Ithaca College Hosts Regional Energy Conference
ITHACA, NY — The annual Educational Energy Day conference at Ithaca College will provide participants with opportunities to learn about the latest in challenges to the energy industry, operational best practices and vendor products and services. The free daylong program takes place on Monday, Oct. 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Campus Center.
The conference is geared toward energy managers; procurement officers; facilities maintenance managers and technicians; utility and water works supervisors; sustainability coordinators; architects and engineers; and public officials — in short, anyone whose job is impacted by energy usage.
Among the speakers will be representatives from recognized industry leaders Staples, Corning Natural Gas, GEM Energy Services, Hess Corporation, Honeywell and World Energy Solutions. Vendors showing off their products and services will include NYSEG, Green Building Partners LLC, Dyson Airblade, SmartWatt Energy, HOLT Architects and Magnum Energy Solutions.
Seminar topics will include “Role of Natural Gas in the U.S. and Regional Economy,” “A Holistic Approach to Energy Management,” “Distributed Power Systems: Lower Costs and Increase Reliability” and “Zero Landfill and Energy Efficient Designs.”
