Ithaca College Hosts Tech Career Fair
ITHACA, NY — College students and others interested in learning about career opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields are invited to attend the Upstate New York Tech Career Connection on Wednesday, April 9, at Ithaca College. Scheduled for 1–5 p.m. in Emerson Suites, the event is free and open to the public.
The half-day conference will feature educational sessions on finding a career in STEM fields, as well as an exhibitor session where representatives from STEM companies in a 15-county region in upstate New York will have the opportunity to meet with potential job applicants.
The keynote speaker will be Patrick Ambron, CEO of BrandYourself.com, who will provide tips on how students can best market themselves online when searching for a career. Ambron is recognized as a leading expert in online reputation management and search engine optimization.
Exhibitors will include AT&T Premier Technologies, Cummins Inc., Lockheed Martin, Raymond Corporation, the CBORD Group and TRW Automotive.
The conference is sponsored by Ithaca College, in coordination with MedTech Association, Binghamton University, the Central New York Career Development Association, Cornell Center for Technology Enterprise & Commercialization and New York State Department of Labor.
