Latest Computer and Communications Technology Showcased at Ithaca College Ed Tech Day
ITHACA, NY — Google Glass and 3D printers will be among the exciting new technologies showcased at Ithaca College’s 24th annual Educational Technology Day on Thursday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Emerson Suites and adjoining areas of the Campus Center.
Sponsored by Information Technology Services, the event offers an opportunity to learn about the latest computer and communication technologies and is free and open to the public.
Ed Tech Day is the largest multi-platform, multi-vendor technology show for higher education in the upstate New York area, regularly attracting over 1,600 attendees from the higher ed, K–12, business and local communities.
Local and national vendors such as Apple, Brocade, Dell, Epson, FileMaker, Hewlett Packard, Lenovo and Verizon Wireless will show off their products.
Running throughout the day will be a series of seminars, tours and other educational opportunities. Some of the topics that will be presented this year include

- Personal Security Tool Box: Free Security Tools to Protect Your Data
- Tracking, Managing and Securing Mobile IT
In partnership with the Finger Lakes Faculty Development Network, a special seminar track will focus on innovations and best practices in using technology for teaching and learning, as well as scholarship assessing the effect of technology on student learning.
Free parking will be available in campus lots, with shuttle bus service to the Campus Center.
