Office for New Student Programs

The Office for New Student Programs is committed to the continuing development of a supportive campus environment to help first-year students build a strong base for academic and social success. Through a supportive professional staff and a variety of programs, we address the transitional needs of first-year and transfer students, help students engage with Ithaca College, and provide parental support.

Orientation is the first step in your transition to Ithaca College. Our programs for first-year students help bridge the gap between high school and college, while transfer orientation gives students transferring from other schools the opportunity to meet their peers and ease the transition into a different college and different experiences.

The Office for New Student Programs exists to help new students and their families with this transition. Recognizing that the transition can extend beyond the first few weeks of the semester, our office offers programming and support throughout the academic year.
