Walkabout Program

G'day mate!

The Ithaca College Walkabout Down Under is a unique study abroad program that gives students the opportunity to experience three very different regions of Australia in one semester.

NOTE: The Ithaca College Walkabout Down Under will run for the last time in Spring 2008.

The Walkabout Down Under was developed in 2003, in conjunction with three highly reputable Australian Universities, with the intention of being able to expose students to Australia's tremendous geographical diversity, while at the same time having a vigorous academic experience. Students attend three universities in three very different regions of the country: The University of Tasmania in Hobart, Tasmania, LaTrobe University in Melbourne, Victoria and Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia where they study one subject area each month. They live in International Housing Units and participate on many field trips to national sites of interest which complement the course work.

Experience Australia at its best!

The Walkabout Down Under is a division of Ithaca College, Ithaca, NY and is open to students
from any accredited institution of higher education in the United States or Canada, upon acceptance.
