Admitted Students

Congratulations!  You're going to London and your world is about to change!  We're looking forward to welcoming you to the London Center, but before you get here, there are lots of details to attend to.  We've created this section to help you get answers to some of the questions you may have and to give you vital information you'll need before you depart the US and arrive in London.  Check back to this site regularly for the latest news and reminders from the London Center.  It's also a great place to go for information on visas and immigration to the UK, packing and getting ready to go

As a student of the Ithaca College London Center, you will be spending much of your time taking classes, consulting with staff and socializing. The London Center Building is a restored Victorian house conveniently located in the elegant Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Built as a semidetached mate to five other substantial houses, 35 Harrington Gardens was a private residence until after World War II, when the market for homes with servants' quarters shrank. At that point it was converted to offices and bedrooms for the staff of the hotel next door.  It's this aspect of the building that gives it its homey feel that students, faculty and staff alike love.

Ithaca College moved into the building in 1972 and has gradually transformed it into one of the most attractive study-abroad centers in the city. The London Center offers classrooms, a comfortable common lounge, and 2 computer labs with 12 computers and internet access, as well as a music classroom, and library.

Because of its location, the London Center serves as an excellent starting point for exploring London. The Victoria & Albert Museum, the Science Museum, the Museum of Natural History, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and Harrods are all within walking distance. A tube station nearby provides easy access to every corner of London. You can also take advantage of one of the world's most extensive public library systems, as well as private libraries throughout the city. And, as an Ithaca College London Center student, you will have access to facilities at the University of London's Imperial College student union, including a pub and restaurants.  A perfect opportunity to immerse yourself into British life.
